This website is operated by Functional Software Stockholm AB (organization number 5594083775), operating out of Stockholm, Sweden (henceforth referred to as “Functional Software”, “we” or “us”). We are the data controller for the personal data described in this notice. For any questions about these terms or your personal data, contact us at info@functionalsoftware.se.
2. Use of this website
By accessing this website you agree to these terms. The content on this site is provided for general information about our services. We may update the site and these terms at any time. The site, its content, and our trademarks remain our property or that of our licensors; you may not copy or reuse them without permission.
3. Personal data we collect
When you contact us or sign up through one of our forms, we collect:
- Contact and enquiry forms: your name, email address, and the contents of your message.
- Community sign-up: your name, email address, role, primary stack, any LinkedIn/GitHub link you share, an optional CV, and your message.
- Job applications: your name, email address, cover letter, and any CV/resume you upload.
- Analytics: if you consent via the cookie banner, we collect usage data through Google Analytics (see “Cookies and analytics” below).
4. Why we process your data and our legal basis
- To respond to your enquiry — based on our legitimate interest in answering messages you send us.
- To match you with relevant roles, freelance work, and community events, and to consider you for positions you apply to — based on your consent, which you give when you submit the community or job application form.
- To measure and improve the website — based on your consent to analytics cookies.
You can withdraw your consent at any time (see “Your rights”). Withdrawing consent does not affect processing carried out before you withdrew it.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only where necessary:
- Service providers that help us run the site, including Netlify (hosting and form handling), and Google (Tag Manager and Analytics). These providers process data on our behalf under appropriate agreements.
- Authorities, where we are required to do so by law.
6. International transfers
Some of our service providers are based outside the EU/EEA. Where data is transferred outside the EU/EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
7. How long we keep it
We keep your personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes above.
8. Cookies and analytics
We use strictly necessary cookies to make the site work. With your consent, we also use Google Analytics (via Google Tag Manager) to understand how the site is used. Analytics and advertising storage are disabled by default and are only enabled after you accept them in the cookie banner. You can change or withdraw your choices at any time through the cookie settings.
9. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data erased;
- restrict or object to our processing;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw consent at any time.
