This role is aimed at experienced backend developers who want to work closely with core platform technology in a highly autonomous environment. The team operates with a lean mindset, flat hierarchy, and minimal meetings, maximizing time for building scalable, secure systems.
Assignment description
The assignment involves working as a Senior Software Developer within a distributed, microservice-based platform. You will collaborate with senior engineers and technical leadership on backend development, system architecture, and cloud infrastructure.
Primary focus areas include:
Backend and platform development in a distributed AWS + Kubernetes environment
Designing and building scalable, performant, and secure services
Taking ownership of architectural decisions and technical direction
Contributing to CI/CD pipelines, observability, and automation workflows
The working language is English, and the team is primarily based in Stockholm, Sweden. Hybrid work is supported, with an expectation of being on-site regularly.
Requirements
5+ years of professional software development experience
Strong experience with Elixir, Rust, or similar backend technologies
Solid understanding of PostgreSQL and/or MySQL
Experience designing and building distributed systems
Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
Experience with AI-assisted coding workflows
Strong communication skills in English (Swedish is a strong plus)
Nice to have
Production experience with Kubernetes / EKS
CI/CD deployment experience (GitHub Actions, Argo CD)
Experience with AWS cloud services and related tooling
Background in cyber security or other high-availability domains
